Hardware device connections at BIAC-5 3T (MR750) scanner
Darwin computer
Darwin is our primary stimulus presentation computer. It is usually connected to the monitor on the left.
Darwin has the following peripheral hardware connected:
- Keyboard and mouse hard-wired connections
- Audio and video output connected to video switch (CPU 3)
- GE scanner cardiac/respiratory connected to MCC
- Current Design 8-button serial response device (USB keyboard device, default mode)
- button box mode: “HHSC-2×4-C” response box
- button mode : “HID NAR NO 5” (003)
- must check this mode if power is cycled to the interface
- “NO 5” does not send the trigger pulse as a 5
- Current Design 2 axis, 2 button joystick
- autoconfigure
- HID Joystick
- USB - Tethyx
- after use switch back to button box with above settings
- Current Design Trackball 2 ( shared between 2 scanners )
- autoconfigure
- HID HHSC-TRK-2 ( track 2 and comp seem to do the exact same thing )
- roll ball around to calibrate
- after use switch back to button box with above settings
- Measurement Computing Analog/Digital data acquisition device (USB-1208FS, dev=0, 8 a/d chans)
- to reset AD device disconnect USB cable.
- E-Prime dongle connected to USB port
- Biopac belt respiratory signal connected as MeasComp analog input (ch 0, w/ 1Kohm resistor), biopac analog ch4
- Biopac cardiac signal connected as MeasComp analog input (pulse ch3, OxSat ch4), biopac analog ( o2 ch3, pulse wave ch7, pulse rate ch11)
- BioPac GSR signal connected as MeasComp analog input (ch 1)
BioPac EGG signal connected as MeasComp analog input (ch 2)Measurement Computing Box, DigPort-A0 Output to Analog Ch6 In, to BioPac Analog 8 input- Measurement Computing Box, DigPort-A1 Output to Analog Ch7 In
- Scanner trigger cable connected MeasComp analog (ch 5) and digital (B0), biopac analog CH 9
- Scanner trigger is also connected to the MCC counter pin (CTR), this would show up as a number increase NOT a positive pulse
- Scanner trigger is also connected to button box interface
- “HID NAR 12345” setting on fORP allows the trigger to come through as a 5
BIAC5 3T -- Kulpe computer
Kulpe is
our accessory computer. It is usually connected to the monitor on the right.
Kulpe has the following peripheral hardware connected:
- Audio and Video connected to HDMI switch as IN3
- BioPac communication (RJ45) cable
BIAC5 3T -- Other devices
- DVD player connected to HDMI switch as IN4
