fScan operations can be specified in two different ways: as "command-line options" or as interactive "key commands". The main difference between the two is syntax; command-line options take the form:

    -commandname arg1 arg2 ...

whereas interactive key commands take the form:
     arg1,arg2,...,argN KEY
