Mounting Windows file servers on Mac OS X

  • Open Finder
  • Select Go → Connect to Server (or command + k)
  • Enter smb://servername/sharename
    • smb://munin.dhe.duke.edu/Data from within the DHE firewall (connected to clubs wireless network, or using vpn)
    • smb://munin.biac.duke.edu/BIAC or smb://munin3.biac.duke.edu/BIAC from outside the DHE firewall (replace BIAC with your actual sharename)
    • Currently Data and Data2 shares are only accessible from within DHE
  • Enter your DHE account credentials (set domain to DHE if needed)
  • Select which share you would like to mount
