ShowPlay Reference Manual, Chapter 2 (Running): commandlinesyntax
Commandlinesyntax --
ShowPlay is a CIGAL command defined by the CIGAL program “showplay.imp”. There is also a ShowPlay pull-down menu defined by the CIGAL menu file “showplay.mnu”; this simply provides a mouse-based way of executing the “showplay.imp” program.
The syntax for the ShowPlay command is:
showplay flag [paramfile] or showplay paramfile FLAG: 0 - initialize variables 1 - run paradigm (default) 2 - double speed of paradigm 4 - save parameters in a file 5 - add parameters to pdigm output file 6 - load a ShowPlay parameter file 7 - load a ShowTime file
If no arguments are specified, the default FLAG is 6 (LOAD) if no parameter file has been loaded, or 1 (RUN) if a paradigm has already been loaded. If PARAMFILE is specified and the FLAG value is less than 6 it will automatically be set to 6 (LOAD).
PARAMFILE can be used to specify the paradigm parameter file (or ShowTime stimulus file if FLAG is 7). If PARAMFILE is the first argument (i.e., the first argument is not a number) the FLAG will default to 6. If no PARAMFILE is specified and a file name is needed, ShowPlay will prompt with an interactive browser window for you to specify the input file.
