ShowPlay Reference Manual, Chapter 4 (StimulusEvents): Duration

Duration -- The duration of the stimulus (in milliseconds).

If DURATION is greater than zero, the stimulus will be turned off after that interval. Turning off a stimulus means overwriting the display in the case of an image, text, or movie stimulus, or stopping audio output in the case of a sound stimulus. The FLG argument (see above) can specify whether the display should just go blank, should be replaced by a fixation crosshair, or should be replaced by a background image.

If DURATION is zero, image and text stimuli will remain until they are overwritten by another stimulus, whereas sound and movie stimuli will play until they are done (at which point the FLG argument determines whether to change the display.)

Note: If you want to separate the file names from the stimulus parameters you can put a list of all the files after the stimulus timing table (separated by a blank line) and then use numbers instead of file names in the stimulus table. Each number points to a filename in the file list (where the first file is 0, thesecond file is 1, etc.)
