Buttons failed test

If the buttons don't respond in CIGAL, next see if the device is working at all. To do so:

Close CIGAL (if it was running) and use the Windows Start menu to select “Settings” and then “Control Panel”. Select the Gaming Devices control panel. You should see a joystick device in the list of gaming devices. Select that device and then choose “Properties”. If there is a Testing option, click on it.

You should see a little test window appear. Press the response buttons and move the joystick. The button dots should indicate when the buttons are pressed and the cursor should move with the joystick.

Did the control panel test work okay?
