If the joystick device is listed, there is probably an electrical problem, either in the response box itself, or a loose connection somewhere between the box and the computer. Try testing all the connections (both sides of the pentration panel, the USB converter box and its connection to the computer itself.)

If the joystick device is not listed in the Control Panel's list of gaming devices, the device driver may not have been installed correctly. This may also be do to a loose electrical connection so check those cables anyway.
