CIGAL Reference Manual, Chapter 4 (Variables): motor1
Motor1 -- Control peripheral motor device via printer port
usage: motor1 = position ; motor number 1
or: motor2 = position ; motor number 2
MOTOR1 and MOTOR2 are device dependent number variables, designed to control stepping motors connected via the printer port. This command is only available on the time-lapse microscope system at University College London.
The MOTOR1 variable corresponds to the position of the motor. Changing the value of MOTOR1 changes the motor position. For relative motion, add or subtract the desired number of steps from the current value. for example:
motor1 = motor1 + 10 ; move 10 steps
