fScan Reference Manual, Chapter 2 (CmdLineOptions): copy

Copy -- Copy information

usage: -copy [mode] source target

The COPY command is used to copy information from one place to another. It can copy entire data files or copy specific aspects of one data set to another. The MODE argument determines what type of information is being copied.

MODE:

  • file - SOURCE is a filename; it will be copied to a new file (TARGET)
  • colormap - copy the colormap from data set SOURCE to data set TARGET
  • alignment - copy the affine alignment matrix from data set SOURCE to data set TARGET
  • active - copy the “active” time series array from data set SOURCE to data set TARGET
  • glossary - copy the glossary from data set SOURCE to data set TARGET
  • reference -

Note: Except for FILE mode, the COPY command links the information to the new data set but it does not write that information out to disk files. Use the OUTPUT command to save changes to disk files.
