ShowPlay Reference Manual, Chapter 1 (Introduction): stimulustypes

stimulustypes --

Typical stimuli are image files, sound files, movie files, or text strings. Currently, CIGAL recognizes images in pcx, tiff, or BMP file formats (compressed TIFF files generate errors, however, and color TIFF files may not yet be handled properly by ShowPlay). Sound files must be in WAV file format. Movie files must be in AVI format.

Depending on the type of file being presented, each type of stimulus requires specific \l[stimulusargslist;arguments] placed in columns next to the stimulus listed in the '.ppf' file.

\l[file_pcx;PCX] \l[file_tiff;TIFF] \l[file_wav;WAV] \l[file_avi;AVI]
